Neon Driftline
★★★★☆ 4.2
Neon Driftline is unapologetically arcade. There's no tire physics degree required — you tap to drift, hold to boost, and chase the perfect line through a city that looks like a synthwave album cover. It's pure vibe, and the vibe is excellent.
The handling took me a couple of races to click with, but once it did, chaining drifts into boosts became genuinely addictive. Tracks are short, so a bad run stings less and you're always up for one more. The rubber-band AI can be annoying on higher difficulties, though.
It won't replace a full console racer, but for blasting through three quick races before bed, it's exactly right. Turn the music up.
