Casinacho Games
I went into Casinacho Games expecting a throwaway time-killer and ended up playing it for two evenings straight. It bundles a bunch of short, self-contained minigames into one app, and the clever part is how it keeps rotating them so you never quite settle into a rhythm. One minute you're matching shapes against a timer, the next you're steering a little cart around a track with tilt controls.
The presentation carries a lot of it. Everything is loud and colorful in a good way, with chunky animations and satisfying little sound cues when you clear a stage. Controls are all touch or tilt, mapped sensibly, and I never fought the interface. Loading between minigames is quick, which matters a lot for something you dip into for five minutes at a time.
It's not deep, and it won't be for everyone — if you want a long campaign this isn't that. But as a pick-up-and-play thing that respects your time, it nails the brief. I kept coming back to beat my own best runs, which is really all this kind of app needs to do.
What we liked
- Snappy loading between minigames
- Bright, readable art and punchy feedback
- Great for short five-minute sessions
